Representatives from Epilepsy Futures Group 4 travelled through to Edinburgh on the afternoon of 8th October.
We attended the Self- Management Awards ceremony at the Scottish Parliament.
The group had some lunch at a Swedish bar near to the event venue. Then we walked round the corner to the Parliament building.
While we waited for the event to begin, some of us had a look around the exhibition in the foyer, or popped into the gift shop to buy souvenirs.
Sadly, we were not successful in the category of “Self Management Project of the Year” – congratulations to the winners.
Being shortlisted for the second year in a row is no mean feat, and our recent independent evaluation demonstrated what we already know.
Epilepsy Futures makes a substantial change in the lives of people living with epilepsy, and each and every participant has been a winner!
Thanks to each of you who took the time to register a vote for us.
On wards and upwards!
