Counselling
Our counselling service offers the opportunity to share thoughts and feelings about life difficulties in a safe, confidential and judgement-free environment. Our approach to counselling is person-centred and supports you to find your own resources to deal with difficulties. We don’t think we know what is best for you – we think you do.
How do I access counselling?
Counselling is offered in our Glasgow office and is available to people with epilepsy and their family members. Please speak to one of our Fieldworkers in Glasgow, Ayrshire & Arran or Forth Valley if you wish to be referred.
How does it work?
Once a Fieldworker has referred you, you will be placed on the waiting list for an introductory appointment with one of our counsellors. The purpose of this appointment is to discuss what is going on in your life and if our service is suitable for you. If you wish to continue, you will be placed on a waiting list for weekly counselling appointments. We will initially offer you up to 8 sessions.
Is there a charge?
No, our counselling service is free of charge.
