On 23rd October Group 4 had their graduation event. They invited the peer mentors to join them in celebrating their time with us.

A couple of people brought relatives to see them graduate, and it was a positive though emotional experience for everyone.

Our original peer mentors (Linda Hamilton, Sharon Cairney, Shoaib Chaudhry and Steven Connelly) formally retired from their roles, after being involved with us since their group started two years ago.

They have all moved on to other opportunities, such as part time work, college courses or other volunteering opportunities, and we are hugely grateful to them for their commitment and passion.

We wish them and Group 4 all the very best for their own futures, but time never stands still and Group 5 will be with us on 12th November.

Check back in after that to meet them and follow them on their six month journey.

In the meantime, we feel this beautifully illustrated poem written by Jill from Group 4 sums up so much about what people experience when on Epilepsy Futures.
