Epilepsy Futures Group 2, outside Scottish Parliament
On 21st June most of the current group of Epilepsy Futures participants travelled through to visit the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood, Edinburgh.
Sandra White MSP very kindly organised a tour for the group and we got to find out more about the history of the Parliament, and the vision of the architects in designing the beautiful building and garden.
We also saw some of the many gifts given by other countries on the founding of the Parliament and works of art which have been commissioned, as well as the lovely garden lobby.

Then we had the chance to sit in on First Ministers Questions, in a very packed public gallery, followed by a browse round the Parliament gift shop for souvenirs.

On the way back to Waverley Station, we stopped off for an alfresco lunch at a food market just off the Royal Mile.
Delicious street food sitting in the sunshine restored us all for the journey back to Glasgow, and marked the end of the induction period for this group.
Five weeks have passed in the blink of an eye, and it seems like this group have always been around.
