Alex and Janet Webb successfully organised the 3rd annual sponsored run in Barrow on 27th May in memory of their son Jack. As you can see from the photo there was great support for this event and an amazing total of £3,443.80 was raised. This money will be split between Epilepsy Connections and Epilepsy Bereaved. A massive thank you to everyone who participated in and donated money to this event.
Congratulations to Hazel Smith who not only competed in the Edinburgh Marathon on 27th May 2007, but completed the course in just over 4.5 hours. In doing so, Hazel also raised an incredible £2,126 for Epilepsy Connections.

Shirley Maxwell, Executive Director of Epilepsy Connections (far left) receives sponsorship monies from Hazel Smith.
Rebecca is in the forefront with her sisters Jenny and Sarah and her mum, Marie.
Hazel decided to take up this challenge for a young girl called Rebecca. Rebecca is bright and intelligent, but has both mental and physical special needs and has regular epileptic fits. Rebecca loves to paint, so the monies raised by Hazel will go towards the costs of running art classes for children with epilepsy.
