Epilepsy Awareness Session
Thursday 13 July, 10.30am – 1.30pm
This session is open to paying customers at a cost of £40.00 per person. However, it is free of charge to people with epilepsy, family members and unpaid carers.
Thursday 10 August, 10.30am – 1.30pm
This session can’t cure memory problems, but will help you learn how to make the most of your memory by using practical strategies, techniques and technology.
Equality & Diversity Training Session

FRIENDS CONNECTED – GLASGOW
Our social group in Glasgow for adults continues to meet on the first Tuesday of the month. Those who wish to take part can meet at Central Station at 12.30pm or go directly to AMF Bowling at Springfield Quay for 1.00pm where there will be a choice of 10 pin bowling, a meal or playing Bingo. Please note everyone is expected to pay their own expenses.
We welcome new members who wish to meet other people with epilepsy in a fun, social setting. The next dates for Friends Connected are: Tuesdays: 4 July and 1 August.

LIVING WITH EPILEPSY EVENT – GLASGOW
Saturday 24th June, 9.30am – 4.00pm
People with epilepsy are invited to a ‘Living With Epilepsy’ conference in Glasgow on Saturday 24 June. Hosted by Epilepsy Connections and Epilepsy Action, the Glasgow workshop is one of several taking place across the UK to equip people with new skills to manage their health and wellbeing. There are 600,000 people with epilepsy in the UK – over 51,000 of these are in Scotland.
The ‘Living With Epilepsy’ conference gives attendees the chance to talk to medical experts and explore new treatments available for epilepsy and to improve day-to-day seizure control. These include surgery, vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), stress management and epilepsy self-management.
As well as Epilepsy Action and Epilepsy Connections teams, event speakers include:

This conference will be of value to people who have been living with epilepsy for a while and to those with a more recent diagnosis”.

Friends Connected Falkirk is a social group for adults with epilepsy which meets every 8 weeks on Tuesdays.
The main aim of the group is to bring people with epilepsy together to get to know each other and enjoy themselves in a social setting.
