Participants will gain essential information regarding:
- what epilepsy is
- causes of epilepsy
- seizure types
- treatment of epilepsy
- psychosocial impact of epilepsy
- what to do when someone has a seizure
This session is open to paying customers at a cost of £40.00 per person. However, it is free of charge to people with epilepsy, family members and unpaid carers.

Resilience & Epilepsy Session (Part 1)
Friday 27th July, 10.30am – 1.30pm
Resilience is the ability to recover quickly from difficulties and is an important skill in living well with epilepsy. This session explores what resilience is, how it can be developed, and how it aids in overcoming the challenges of living with epilepsy.
Thursday 2nd August, 10.30am – 1.30pm
Wednesday 26th September, 10.30am – 1.30pm
This session can’t cure memory problems, but will help you learn how to make the most of your memory by using practical strategies, techniques and technology.
All these courses are free of charge to anyone with epilepsy, their family and unpaid carers. If you would like to attend, phone the office on 0141.248.4125 to reserve a place.
Friends Connected – Glasgow
Our social group in Glasgow for adults continues to meet on the first Tuesday of the month. Those who wish to take part can meet at Central Station at 12.30pm or go directly to AMF Bowling at Springfield Quay where there will be a choice of 10 pin bowling, a meal or playing Bingo. Please note everyone is expected to pay their own expenses.
We welcome new members who wish to meet other people with epilepsy in a fun, social setting.

Epilepsy Connections runs regular events for children with epilepsy giving the whole family the chance to make new friends and take part in fun activities like bowling, indoor climbing and concerts. Thank you to everyone who raises money for the children’s activities, which allows us to provide them free of charge.

Friends Connected Falkirk is a social group for adults with epilepsy which meets every 8 weeks on Tuesdays.The main aim of the group is to bring people with epilepsy together to get to know each other and enjoy themselves in a social setting.
