Counselling

Epilepsy Connections offers appointments with a counsellor on Monday afternoons. Appointments are held within the Glasgow office and are available to adults affected by epilepsy, also to their family and carers.

Counselling offers you the opportunity to explore any issues in a safe, neutral and confidential environment. Our approach is person-centred, which means that we don’t think we know what is best for you – we think that you do.

In a fully accepting environment which is free from judgement we offer you the chance to share your thoughts and feelings about difficulties in your life, and support you to find your own resources to deal with them.

Sessions are 50 minutes long.

Together you and your counsellor will decide how many sessions you should have. Regular reviews will be made to check that counselling is working for you in the way that you would like.
